Bedding Industries of America Donates Mattresses for Papal Visit To Philadelphia

Mattress Development Company, LLC dba Bedding Industries of America (BIA) and Eclipse International, who are the New Jersey-based makers of the Eclipse and Eastman House mattress brands, as well as the major online mattress brands of Saatva was recently contacted by the World Meeting of Families (http://www.worldmeeting2015.org/papal-visit/) to provide the mattresses for Pope Francis and his entourage for their upcoming visit in the United States to New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. Bedding Industries of America CEO Stuart Carlitz, a native of Philadelphia, enthusiastically agreed to donate a Queen-size set of the Saatva Loom & Leaf Luxury Memory Foam for the Holy Father.

When asked to comment on BIA’s support for the Pope’s visit to the mid-Atlantic region, Carlitz stated, “We are honored to be part of this historic event, and to work closely with the World Meeting of Families to assure that the Holy Father and his entourage will be well rested and comfortable during their late September visit to Philadelphia. We specifically inquired about the comfort needs and preferences for The Holy Father and those accompanying him. Based on the information we have received we are recommending a “relaxed firm” Loom & Leaf, Saatva memory foam bed for the Pope and high performance Eastman House and Eclipse beds for those accompanying him.” Carlitz stated that the beds will be permanently donated as gifts to the St. Charles Borromeo Seminary at the conclusion of the World Meeting of Families on September 27th.
