Spring Time Bedding Taps Into Ice Bucket Challenge Popularity

Furniture World News Desk on 9/24/2014

Spring Time Bedding, a leading mattress manufacturer, announced it is calling on its retail partners to take on the company’s “Money Bucket Challenge,” a play on the ALS Association’s Ice Bucket Challenge, to bolster retail sales in the fourth-quarter. The new program highlights one of the company’s most popular lines, the Sarah Collection, and its new Moderate models. As part of the “Money Bucket Challenge,” Spring Time will donate five-percent of every Sarah Collection Moderate mattress set sold directly to the ALS Association.

“The ‘Money Bucket Challenge’ is a fun and philanthropic way for our customers to build business during the fourth-quarter, which is traditionally a slow time of year for most furniture and mattress retailers,” said Spring Time Vice President Sarah Appleton. “From now through the end of December, each time our customers support us by purchasing one of our new Moderate models, we will support a great charity – the ALS Association.”

The company said that the Moderate line was designed to “have something for everyone” and meet a wide variety of comfort feel preferences. Retailers can maximize floor space because each of the line’s six models is available in firm and plush. With a modern look and a price range of $299 to $799 in queen, the collection features both spring and pocket coil models. The same foundation, available in white and grey, can be used with all models.

“Sixty-percent of all mattresses sold fall into the price point represented by our new Moderate models. This line extension gives our customers the opportunity to floor more offerings in that sweet spot. Since the collection is part of our quick ship program, consumers can have their purchase the next day,” said Appleton.
