Creative Accents Partners with Parker Heath for New Rug Collection

Creative Accents, a bespoke rug manufacturer, has teamed up with artist Parker Heath, CEO and Founder of PAR KER made, to introduce a new capsule collection. This collaboration will be showcased at the Thayer Coggin showroom during the Spring High Point Market from April 13-17, 2024.

Andy Hensler, Co-Owner of Creative Accents, said, “Our team is thrilled to debut our collaboration with PAR KER made, featuring Parker Heath’s brand of uniquely modern abstract designs. The collection of hand-tufted rugs will be shown exclusively in the Thayer Coggin showroom at the upcoming High Point Market.”

Since 1967, Creative Accents has specialized in hand-tufted rugs, custom-made in California with materials sourced from the United States. The company prides itself on accommodating nearly any design preference in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. Linda and Andy Hensler, Co-owners of Creative Accents, mentioned, “Because each rug is hand-tufted to order, we say 'yes' to almost any requested design, providing our customers with a 'no compromise' option that results in an exquisitely crafted custom rug.”

The new collection with PAR KER made features five designs that represent Parker Heath’s signature abstract and illustrative style, marked by bold patterns and a 'Modern Primitive' aesthetic. Heath’s art, often incorporating sculptural materials like coffee grounds, emphasizes texture and raw materials.

The Henslers were immediately attracted to Heath’s portfolio, describing it as an “elegant blend of Fine-art, meets Mid-Century Modern with just a hint of Southwestern energy.” They felt his vision would translate seamlessly into the texture and artistry of a hand-crafted rug.

Parker Heath expressed his honor in joining Creative Accents’ prestigious lineup of collaborators, remarking, “Each of my designs evoke a sense of a love for mid-century modern design elements, combining with contrasted organic, primal, motifs that can be seen as an influence of my SoCal upbringing. It is a huge honor and I am beyond thrilled to be joining the roster of legendary designers and artists that Creative Accents works with.”

Creative Accents' Designer Collection has previously featured collaborations with notable designers and artists, including Rick Lee, Stanley Jay Fridman, Nathan Gilreath, Anthony Cordeiro, Jacquin Headon, Suzanne Milano, Colleen Schaeffer, and Milo Ray Baughman, Jr., among others.

Thayer Coggin, known for handcrafted high-end furniture, will host the PAR KER made collection in their showroom. Royale Wiggin, CEO of Thayer Coggin, has stated that 2024 will be a year honoring the brand’s 70-year heritage while also appealing to new audiences.

Creative Accents invites market attendees and the press to meet their team and Parker Heath at the Thayer Coggin showroom, 230 South Rd, High Point, NC, on Saturday, April 13, from 10 am to 12 pm.

A multifaceted artist from San Diego, Heath’s recent achievements include a BFA in Studio Arts, going PRO as a freestyle BMX athlete, and engaging in multiple design collaborations including with VANS BMX Collection and wallcovering companies Wall Snobs and Ayara Home.
