The Dufresne Group Opens New Ashley Store in Toronto, Ontario

On Saturday, February 10, The Dufresne Group will celebrate the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of its new 28,000 sq. ft. Ashley showroom located at 1602 The Queensway, Toronto, ON M8Z 1V1, Canada.

The Dufresne Group owns 38 additional Ashley stores in Canada, and this store will mark the licensee’s 19th Ashley store in the province of Ontario. The Etobicoke store will employ approximately 28 people. Ashley, the #1 furniture and mattress retailer in North America, has more than 1,125 locations worldwide.

The store’s interior architectural design includes the newest Ashley 7.0 store concept with a customer friendly layout that showcases the Ashley furniture line. The store has a simplified, bright, and open floor plan with our newest construction elements. The store showcases the newest mattress gallery featuring Ashley Sleep®, Tempur-Pedic®, Sealy® and Stearns and Foster® mattresses. The showroom features complete lifestyle vignettes, down to the final detail of lighting, rugs, and wall art. Product categories include bedroom, dining room, upholstery, leather, occasional tables, home office, youth bedroom, recliners, mattresses, and accessories. Technology enhances the environment, incorporating various elements to improve the customer shopping experience.

The Dufresne Group celebrated the new Ashley store opening with an open-to-the-public grand opening event on Saturday, February 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST. The free event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a winter candle bar and soap-making workshop hosted by Let’s Make It, a coffee cart, and a pretzel and donut wall, among other festivities. Through an ongoing partnership with Mamas for Mamas, Ashley will host a winter clothing drive during the Grand Opening to collect warm weather clothes and footwear for families in need.
