Michael Bauer Reflects on One Year with Feizy Rugs and His Impact on the Design Community

Celebrating his first year as Director of Trade Relations with Feizy Rugs, Michael Bauer offers his insights on the intersection of business and design, and his support for the national interior design community. Bauer, with over 20 years of experience in the home furnishings and lighting industries, has applied his expertise to foster growth and innovation within Feizy.

Reflecting on his journey, Bauer said, “Born and raised in Houston, I found my home in Dallas, working out of the Feizy headquarters.” He described his role as integral in supporting the interior design community, developing events, and cultivating partnerships to enhance Feizy’s business and brand presence. “My duties span from domestic to international engagement, sharing our 50-year history as we celebrated this milestone,” Bauer added.

Discussing his transition to Feizy, Bauer remarked, “The move to a manufacturer allowed me to blend my design knowledge with creativity, offering a fresh perspective.” He emphasized the difference from his previous roles, noting this position as the culmination of his career with a focus on creativity and collaboration.

Bauer recounted the positive changes since joining Feizy, including increased market attendance, new account openings, and revitalization of dormant accounts. “Working with the product team, we’ve harnessed insights from the design community, driving business growth and success,” he stated.

His commitment extends beyond business growth, aiming to simplify designers’ work through education and resource support. “I am there every step of the way, no matter the need,” said Bauer.
