Midwest Furniture Show Scheduled For September 25-26

The 2013 Midwest Furniture Show reported that it is returning to the Schaumburg Convention Center on September 25th and 26th, 2013.
In 2012 Show attracted over 600 attendees and 75 exhibitors across a broad spectrum of resources. A majority of attendees were from Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana, but some came from as far away New England and California.
This year the Show has attracted some new prominent manufacturers such as Powell, Beverly, PureLatex BLISS and Southwood. Powell was one of the first to sign-up for the Show and will feature a fresh line-up in the hot home accessories category. Show stalwarts such as Ashley, Englander, John Thomas, Five Star Mattress and MDA Rugs will also exhibit this year.
In addition to furniture manufacturers and disctributors, the Show will feature a wide array of service companies from American Express to Sun Belt transportation, as well as infrastructure and back room suppliers.
“it’s a complete Show for our local Chicagoland dealers. And I am proud to say this year we have attracted some higher end lines, as requested by our retailers,” says Geoff Weed who coordinates the Show for the Midwest Furniture Club, a chapter of IHFRA. “It’s also exciting that we will have representatives from NAHFA there to help our retailers understand what great resources are out there for them.”
Even though the show is going to be held September 25th and 26th at the Schaumburg Convention Center, it’s not too late for exhibitors to sign up. “ We have some real estate left in the building to rent! This year’s turnout is expected to be the best yet with the improving economy, the arrival or Art Van, Sleepy’s and the Dump in Chicago, and an upbeat housing market. We are getting a great response from major retailers like Walter E Smithe, Darvin, Steinhafel’s, Colders, Tom’s Price, as well as a lot of independents from Illinois, Wisconsin and northern Indiana. It should be a full house,” says Weed.
