Horizon Home reported that at the upcoming High Point Market its Mexican-made product lines will have a renewed emphasis on mixed media. New materials have been added including American hardwoods and leather.
Silverado Collection: The new Silverado Collection, made with American Oak and tooled leather inlays will feature unique drawer pulls and decorative nail accents specifically designed for the collection. The addition of soft close glides is an updated selling feature for this collection.
Tables & Accents: For High Point, Horizon Home will expand its line of natural stone tables and accents, the company’s fastest growing category.
Upholstery: Fabric and leather upholstered furniture combo introductions with decorative show-wood trim reflect the same mixed media mindset. “Bringing an everyday affordable price and availability with a custom-made look, said Felipe Orozco, Horizon Home’s VP of Sales, “is driving quick growth at Horizon Home. Updated selling features have been incorporated into our upholstery, notably drop in coils, 8” crowned cushions and Self-Decking as standard features.”
Millennial Focused Jumble Bedroom: The new Jumble bedroom group,” Orozco continued, “is totally new look for the casegood industry. Jumble’s style is geared toward younger consumers at affordable price points. We feel that Millennials will be more receptive to this innovative departure from traditional case design and function.

“Another area we are paying close attention to are tip-over regulations, a new focus for buyers at the spring Market. Horizon Home will be compliant with the new regulations.
Unique New Mexican Looks: Orozco added that Horizon Home has made a conscientious effort this season to bring to dealers unique looks out of Mexico— current, with up-to-date features today’s consumers are asking for.
“Mexico is a unique place to produce product,” he said. “Beautiful mixed media products can be produced at a value using hand-crafted talent. Many suppliers have tried to make products in Mexico that emulate Asian imports with limited success, if any.
“The Horizon Home team has been making product in Mexico for close to 30 years. This gives us a clear understanding of what products can be made there with a high sense of value and quality. Our long tenure there has allowed us to develop a wide network of craftsman that can supply value added components. This is necessary to provide value to US and Canadian retailers and successfully compete against Asian imports.
“Our long-established team on the ground oversees quality at every factory we work with. And Horizon Home’s logistics team makes sure products are delivered to retailers in the US and Canada effortlessly. We have always been importer of record, making every purchase a domestic buy for our dealers,” Orozco concluded.
