Furniture World News Desk on 3/30/2023

Nationwide Marketing Group announces that is has received the 2023 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. This is the 9th year in a row that Nationwide has received the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award and the 16th year the company has been recognized as an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year overall.

The Sustained Excellence Award is the highest honor bestowed by the ENERGY STAR program. Winners are part of a distinguished group that has made a long-term commitment to fighting climate change and protecting public health through energy efficiency. They are among the nation’s leaders in driving value for the environment, the economy and the American people.

“This is an honor that is a direct result of the attention and care our members show to the ENERGY STAR program and their passion to not only stock but also push their shoppers towards purchasing those products that are ENERGY STAR Certified,” says Frank Sandtner, senior director of business and financial services for Nationwide. “We have, for years, understood the importance of the ENERGY STAR mission and their goal to promote a healthier, greener planet. It’s the buy-in from the rest of the independent channel and Nationwide network that has helped us collectively achieve this recognition.”

Each year, the ENERGY STAR program honors a select group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions in the transition to a clean energy economy. ENERGY STAR award winners lead their industries in the production, sale, and adoption of energy-efficient products, homes, buildings, services, and strategies. These efforts are essential to fighting the climate crisis, protecting public health, and creating a clean energy future for everyone.

“As we accelerate historic efforts to address climate change, public-private partnerships will be essential to realizing the scale of our ambition,” says EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan.  “I applaud this year’s ENERGY STAR award winners for working with EPA to deliver a clean energy future that saves American consumers and businesses money and creates jobs.”

Winners are selected from a network of thousands of ENERGY STAR partners. For a complete list of 2023 winners and more information about ENERGY STAR’s awards program, visit energystar.gov/awardwinners.
