Liberty Furniture’s Founding Family to Be Honored by International Home Furnishings Industry and City of Hope

Furniture World News Desk on 3/9/2023

Jason Brian and his family are being honored by the International Home Furnishings Industry (IHFI) group and its philanthropic partner City of Hope. The Brian family are proud owners of Liberty Furniture Industries and LFI Logistics.

The Brian family is one of four furniture industry leaders who will be honored in this year’s signature event, the Spirit of Life® Award Dinner, which will take place April 23 during the High Point Market.

The Spirit of Life Celebration recognizes industry leaders each year for their outstanding professional and philanthropic contributions. This prestigious award is presented to individuals who exemplify the ideals and values that have guided City of Hope for more than a century, and whose professional and humanitarian accomplishments are worthy of celebration. Recipients of the Spirit of Life Award include a broad range of leaders from the world of business, entertainment, science, and philanthropy. There are seven industry veterans set to be honored by City of Hope at The Spirit of Life Celebration at High Point Market in April.

The Brian family has promoted tremendous growth and ingenuity in the furniture manufacturing industry.  In conjunction with their hardworking team, the Brian Family has grown Liberty Furniture into an industry leader.  Under the leadership of Jason Brian, chief executive officer, the company remains vigilant in offering ever-evolving and quality furniture products. In 2020 LFI Logistics was formed to facilitate the accelerated growth Liberty Furniture experienced.

One of the proudest moments for Jason and his family was the creation of a $1 million charitable fund in the name of Liberty Furniture in 2018.  This fund continues to provide for various needs in the local community. Additionally, Liberty Furniture has matched every employee’s charitable contribution up to $5000 per year since its inception. Service and hard work are long-standing family values which Jason considers the backbone of Liberty Furniture.

Liberty Furniture was founded in 1992 by Jason’s father, Ricky Brian.  Ricky’s entrepreneurial spirit and tireless work ethic inspired Jason to earn a degree in international business from University of Georgia. His path to leading the family business was neither direct nor planned. After college, he completed an 18-month trainee program in Nuremberg, Germany with Siemens Graduate Program.

After returning to the United States and marrying his wife, Heather, Jason entered the family business as supply chain manager. He then served as vice president of supply chain for five years before his promotion to executive vice president.  Six years later, Jason accepted the role of president, and in 2018, he became CEO after his father retired.
