Stickley Furniture Will Modernize Familiar Forms For High Point Market

Furniture World News Desk on 10/15/2022

Stickley Furniture reported that its introductions at  the October High Point Market will modernize familiar forms with a 48-piece Origins by Stickley upholstery collection, three new occasional groups, three contemporary lifestyle recliners, seven additions to the Surrey Hills collection, a Harvey Ellis introduction, five new hand-knotted rugs, and 60 new fabrics and leathers.

These products will be shown at Stickley’s High Point showroom at 225 North Elm Street.

ORIGINS BY STICKLEY™ UPHOLSTERY:  Origins by Stickley Upholstery offers modern, stylized interpretations of classic forms, all at an entry price point for eight-way hand-knotted Stickley furnishings. Three styles include Belleville, a contemporary roll-arm design; Harper, a smooth update of an English arm; and Keene, an architectural track arm. All are available in full and mid-size sofas, stationary and swivel chairs, ottomans, and sectional components, for a total of 48 pieces.

NEW OCCASIONAL GROUPS: Three stand-alone occasional styles—modern Canton, traditional Olympia, and casual Lowell—create fresh possibilities for the home. Each offers a distinctive design viewpoint and comes in its own exclusive, curated finish. Crafted from sapelli wood, Canton’s slab-style cocktail, side, and console tables feature a carved texture on their vertical surfaces; the Olympia and Lowell groups, both oak, also include drink tables, and have patterned veneer tops that showcase beautiful grains.

LIFESTYLE RECLINERS: Recliner introductions have been reimagined for a new generation, inspired by the award-winning Martine™, Walnut Grove, and Surrey Hills collections. In the upright position, an elegant accent chair conceals a footrest tucked up beneath a roomy seat; pushing back raises the footrest before continuing to a full recline. Beautiful from any angle, each recliner echoes the unique design motifs of its parent collection.

SURREY HILLS™ ADDITIONS: The recently launched Surrey Hills collection has been expanded with versatile new options. Cleanly tailored 90-inch and 86-inch tuxedo-style sofas, accompanied by a chair and ottoman, offer deep, wraparound seating, with ultra-soft cushions and an eight-way hand-knotted spring system. New occasional tables, anchored by a 54-inch rectangular Glass-Top Cocktail Table, translate the Surrey Hills trellis motif into frames that incorporate air and light.

2023 COLLECTOR EDITION: The Craftsman Console honors a fundamental Arts and Crafts idea: that true beauty is found in a simple, useful object impeccably crafted. Available in oak or cherry, the 54-inch by 14-inch console is an endlessly adaptable piece, equally functional as an entry or hall table, entertainment stand, bookcase, linen shelf, and more. Two shelves are joined with keyed through-tenons to slightly canted sides, laser-inscribed with Stickley’s Als Ik Kan (“to the best of my ability”) shop mark.

HARVEY ELLIS INTRODUCTION: The streamlined Harvey Ellis Hi-Lo Work Table, like our Hi-Lo Standing Desk, uses power-lift technology to adjust its height from 29 to 47 inches for any type of project, from writing to drafting to crafting. It features optional Harvey Ellis inlay and is available in solid oak or cherry.

NEW STICKLEY DESIGNER RUGS: Five new hand-crafted Nepalese rugs combine versatile abstract design with family-friendly construction. A blend of Himalayan wool and silk creates a subtle sheen and enhances the rugs’ resistance to everyday wear. All are available in standard Stickley designer rug sizes.

FABRIC INTRODUCTIONS: With 60 fresh and carefully curated additions,  fall fabric introductions emphasize the look and feel of nature. Textural bouclé, linen, and nubby shearling looks—in earth tones, organic greens and blues, and warm neutrals—create soft dimension in layered combinations. Performance fabrics play an expanded role in the assortment, and new sustainable technology produces top-grain leathers while reducing the use of water and finishing chemicals. Finally,  Mission settles and chairs will showcase six exclusive Arts and Crafts tapestry jacquards, with traditional designs in updated color palettes.
