MLILY USA to Host Popular “Moonshine Mixer” & First-Ever Silent Auction at Summer Las Vegas Market

Mattress manufacturer MLILY USA announced that it will once again host its popular “Moonshine Mixer” at the Summer Las Vegas Market, on Saturday, Aug. 21 from 4-7 p.m. The event provides an opportunity to help raise funds for Special Spaces – a non-profit organization that transforms bedrooms for terminally ill children. This year, for the first time, the event will also include a silent auction providing guests the opportunity to bid on a variety of Las Vegas entertainment items as well as donate funds directly toward two upcoming Special Spaces room makeovers. The event is set to take place in the MLILY showroom, which is located at B-900.

The philanthropic event – the fifth of its kind – has become an industry favorite and features a curated selection of Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine, available for sampling. Limited edition collectable bottles are also available for guests to take home in exchange for a donation. The silent auction will include a variety of items that guests can bid on including Las Vegas entertainment experiences, tickets to headlining shows, an MLILY PowerCool Sleep System and youth mattresses from the company’s recently introduced JAMA Collection. All donations from the event will be applied toward the company’s goal of raising $10,000 for Special Spaces, which is equivalent to the cost of two room makeovers. The themes for the two makeovers will be announced during the event. 

“Special Spaces is near and dear to our hearts,” said Stephen Chen, president of MLILY USA. “The work they do across the country to create bedroom makeovers for young children with cancer is truly uplifting. It provides the children with a safe place to recover, heal, sleep and play, and makes their bedroom a very comforting space. The Moonshine Mixer has always been an opportunity for us to get the industry involved in Special Spaces, but this year, with the addition of the silent auction, we are offering our guests a unique opportunity to participate in a more meaningful way. Donations will support two bedroom makeovers that will have a lasting impact on two very deserving children.”

To underscore its commitment to Special Spaces and highlight the success of its recently launched JAMA Collection, which is designed to give children their first “big kid” mattress and pillow, MLILY will inspire guests to participate in the fundraising activities with an outdoor adventure display featuring a treehouse-themed bunk bed that replicates a Special Spaces-themed room. The display will also highlight the company’s newly formed relationship with Haibu – the popular children’s character who engages in outdoor adventures to save endangered animals and protect the environment. The treehouse will be adorned with stuffed animals from Haibu.

With each mixer we’ve hosted, we’ve seen very generous support for Special Spaces,” Chen said. “This year, with the addition of the silent auction and the treehouse display, we hope it will draw even more donations. MLILY began its partnership with Special Spaces two years ago and has contributed financially and donated products to help create special places that can play a key role in the recovery of terminally ill children. The company will make a special presentation to the nonprofit, and representatives from Haibu will speak about the organization during the event.
