Ekornes, Inc. Partners with Retail Network to Raise $300k for Local Charities

Travis Garrish of Forma Furniture in Fort Collins, CO. The retailer teamed up with local charity Neighbor to Neighbor and donated funds raised from the Stressless Charity promotion to the organization.

Ekornes, Inc. announced that it has partnered with its national dealer network to raise nearly $300,000 during the recent summer Stressless Charity promotion which ran from June 5 to August 3.

The company modified its annual sales event calendar considering the Covid-19 pandemic to give retailers the opportunity to raise funds for local organizations while offering consumers significant discounts on Stressless furniture.

“There has never been a more important time to give back and support those in need in our local communities,” says Peter Bjerregaard, President. “Our annual charity promotion is one of our top producing events each year and our retailers are familiar with how to promote and implement it locally.”

The company runs the annual Charity promotion through its network of dealers each year from Nov-Jan but moved this offer up and ran it beginning June 5. Consumers are asked to donate a minimum of $50 to the retailers’ choice of charity and in return they receive savings on Stressless products.

“The charity component combined with discounts on nearly all Stressless furniture made this a very successful promotion,’ says Bjerregaard. “We recognized that there would be pent-up demand for furniture after so many parts of the country quarantined this past spring during Covid-19.”

The Charity promotion will run for 2 additional periods this year: September 4-October 19 and November 20-January 18, 2021. An additional monetary incentive to retail sales associates will be offered during the Sept event.

“With so many organizations needing support and contributions we are happy to be able to team up with our wonderful retailers to do just a very small part in giving back and helping in their local communities,” says Bjerregaard.
