Furniture World News Desk on 1/27/2019

As adjustable base sales continue to increase, Reverie reports that it has revamped its power base lineup to include entry-level price points starting at $499. The company will be showcasing an eight-model offering during the winter Las Vegas Market to appeal to the broad range of consumers who are now buying adjustable bases.

“Sleeping on an adjustable base shouldn’t just be for upper-income people or aging Baby Boomers. It’s for anyone who values their sleep. We needed to have a Power Base lineup that has something for everyone,” said Martin Rawls-Meehan, president and chief executive officer of Reverie.

Rawls-Meehan said the new Power Base line aggressively targets a broader range of consumers with several more affordable models that are geared toward first-time adjustable base purchasers. He said adjustable bases resonate with today’s tech-savvy consumers who value the ability to personalize products. The new lineup features adjustable bases that include advanced massage technology and a Bluetooth® remote.

The 2019 line has price points starting at $499, which gives Reverie the opportunity to introduce first-time adjustable base buyers to the experience of sleeping on an adjustable base at a great value, he said.

The three promotionally-priced Power Bases, are targeted to first-time buyers and can be shipped directly to the consumer’s home. Two of the promotional models feature infinite head and foot adjustability, and one is designed for use with a platform or storage bed.

Headlining the Power Base lineup is the R600™, which includes a motor that allows the unit to be placed in the true zero gravity, inversion and lounge positions for pressure relief. It also has the company’s proprietary 3D Wave™ massage technology, which features four-wave modes and 10 intensity levels, and can be operated from a smartphone with Reverie’s Nightstand app.
Two other premium models that deliver the look of high-end furniture, and one offers a lumbar support feature that operates independently and provides increased support for the lower back.

The lineup also includes a pair of mid-priced models featuring head and neck support with an independently-operated head tile mechanism.

Reverie’s Las Vegas Market showroom is space B-925 of the World Market Center. The market takes place Jan. 27-31, and Reverie’s showroom will be open early Saturday, Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
