Eclipse International to Unveil New Ernest Hemingway Mattress Collection at Las Vegas Market

Furniture World News Desk on 1/27/2019

Mattress manufacturer Eclipse International reports it will introduce two collections to its Ernest Hemingway licensed collection at the Las Vegas Market in January. The introduction is the company’s first update to the iconic line in five years.

The Two Collections, which will be marketed under the tagline “An American Icon, an American Mattress” includes models geared toward Gen Xers and Baby Boomers and features a variety of high-end comfort components including New Zealand wool and copper-infused latex foam.

“Ernest Hemingway is a truly iconic figure, and we have created the Hemingway mattress line to reflect the lifestyle that he enjoyed, and many consumers aspire to achieve,” said Stuart Carlitz, CEO of Eclipse International. “These sleep sets have a distinct look and feel that will appeal to multiple demographic groups while providing very healthy margin opportunities for our dealers.”

Eclipse, which has been producing, marketing and selling the Ernest Hemingway brand for more than 10 years, is introducing the two new collections. The ultra-luxury Hemingway Classic Tradition Collection includes models retailing from $1,999 to $3,999 in queen, while the premium Ernest Hemingway Key West Collection targets retail price points from $999 to $1,699 in queen.

Hemingway Classic Tradition models feature a five-zone, encased-coil innerspring unit with edge support system. All three models are hand tufted and crafted with New Zealand Wool and organic cotton in the quilting layers. Two of the designs also feature a two-inch layer of micro coils for added pressure relief and a layer of Sensile-Respond comfort layer.

The Key West Collection features a wrapped innerspring unit with eight-inch, foam-encased coils, and all three models include copper-infused latex to better conform to the sleeper’s body. The Classic Tradition Collection includes a side-by-side upholstered foundation for the king-size beds that feature complementary wooden legs.

A variety of point-of-purchase materials have been developed to support the new Hemingway offerings.

Eclipse’s Las Vegas showroom is space B-1118 of the World Market Center.
