New Sustainability Section Launched on ISPA Website

The International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) announced a new Sustainability section on its Website. The new section features information on recycling used mattress components, green marketing rules in foreign markets, Green Chemistry, the Mattress Industry Sustainability Initiative, as well as a section highlighting an innovative design competition focused on mattress recycling. The mattress industry provides consumers with the comfortable and affordable products they need to enjoy a safe and restful night's sleep. ISPA also wants consumers and the media to recognize that mattress producers and their suppliers are taking environmentally sound and economically practical actions to improve the long-term sustainability of the industry. This begins with the materials sourcing process, and proceeds through the manufacturing, assembly, distribution and used product disposal phases.
