Kuka Home Makes 46,000 Square Foot Debut In Las Vegas

For its North American premier, China’s Kuka Home announced that it has leased one of the largest permanent showrooms at the Las Vegas World Market Center in the new C building. At 90,000 square feet, the company’s flagship retail store in downtown Hangzhou is China’s largest furniture store. Domestic sales represented 43% of total sales in the first half of 2008. The parallel sales strategy focusing on domestic stores and exports, unusual for Chinese furniture producers, has borne very positive results. Although it only began exporting in 2005, Kuka already counts upon North America for 40% of total sales, Europe for 32%, Australia & New Zealand for 14%, and the Middle East for 11%.
