Lacquer Craft Promotes Phillip Siler to Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Lacquer Craft, the world’s largest furniture manufacturer and parent company of Universal Furniture, has named Phillip Siler as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Siler will be responsible for building a business unit to service the American marketing companies of Universal and Legacy Classic Furniture.
Siler has been with Universal Furniture for the past two-and-a-half years as its Vice President of Merchandising, responsible for occasional tables, accents, home office and walls. He has also held positions with Palliser Furniture and Lane, and has extensive marketing and sales experience in addition to his background in merchandising.
Siler will report to Mohamad Amini, President of Lacquer Craft. He will be based out of Lacquer Craft’s manufacturing facility in Jiashan, China.
“Phillip’s experience in the industry – and with Lacquer Craft – will allow him to make a great contribution to the Lacquer Craft team” said Amini.

Siler will take his new post on April 16, 2007.
Siler is originally from Rocky Mount, Va., and has lived in North Carolina for the past three years. He has held positions in Canada, Los Angeles, Tupelo, Miss., and Atlanta. Siler received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va.
