New Wood Packaging Rules For Imported Furniture To Take Effect On July 5th

Tom Craig of LTD Supply Chain sent FURNITURE WORLD the following information regarding new packaging rules for imported wood furniture. Full enforcement of the wood packaging rules developed by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture will go into effect on July 5. Any import into the U.S. after that date will be immediately re-exported if the wood packaging does not bear the required stamp showing that the wood was heat treated or fumigated.
