LA-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries® Opens In Albuquerque, New Mexico

La-Z-Boy Incorporated, the nation's leading manufacturer of upholstered furniture, has announced the grand opening of a new La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries® in Albuquerque, N.M., located at 3750 Ellison Drive NW. The new 16,800-square-foot store is devoted exclusively to La-Z-Boy furnishings, allowing customers to select from the full line of La-Z-Boy products for the living room and family room. Products offered include the company's world famous recliners, motion sofas, sleep sofas, modular furniture and leather upholstery, as well as stationary sofas and chairs from the American Home Collection by La-Z-Boy®. Consumers also can select from occasional furniture pieces by La-Z-Boy subsidiaries Hammary® and Kincaid®. Also on display is the Thomas Kinkade Home Furnishings Collection™ by La-Z-Boy®. The collection includes sofas and chairs inspired by the artwork of Thomas Kinkade, the world-renowned "Painter of Light™." "There are galleries showcasing the family room, living room, leather selections and sleepers in styles and fabrics that may surprise consumers who still think of La-Z-Boy as primarily a recliner manufacturer," said Jeff Mauldin, store owner. "However, recliners are by no means forgotten. We have nearly 200 styles on display in our new store." La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores are made up of multiple galleries, each representing its own category of La-Z-Boy furniture. The new Albuquerque store features fully accessorized room vignettes in four major galleries, including: a Living Room Gallery, with stationary sofas, loveseats and chairs in every style category from traditional to contemporary; a Family Room Gallery, showcasing motion sofas and loveseats, sofa beds and reclining chairs; a Leather Gallery, presenting an impressive array of leather finishes, textures, styles and colors available from La-Z-Boy; and a Chair Gallery that displays the full range of world famous La-Z-Boy reclining chairs. The new La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries also features a complete design center, including the La-Z-Boy Screen Test® video catalog system that allows customers the opportunity to view any La-Z-Boy product in their choice of fabrics before they buy. In addition, each of the store's sales associates is a graduate of the La-Z-Boy Design Institute, a course that stresses the fundamentals of coordinating fabrics and styles. "We are very excited about the opening of our latest La-Z-Boy store," said Patrick H. Norton, chairman of the board for La-Z-Boy. "The new Albuquerque location expands and strengthens our presence in the western United States, and moves us closer to our goal of bringing La-Z-Boy products to the widest possible consumer base."
