Victoria Scorfina Smith has been named the fifth President in the 83 year history of Rothman Furniture Stores. She is the first non-family member as well as the first woman to hold this title.

In a market that is predominantly female-driven, Vicky becomes one of only very few women in the United States to lead a regional, multi-store, retail furniture chain. Once again, Rothman Furniture is at the forefront of the US home furnishings industry.

Celebrating her 35th year (since 1975) with Rothman Furniture, Vicky has been involved in every facet of the business, from the original computerization of Rothman in 1979, to her career as buyer and merchandiser for the past twenty-eight years, and as a company vice-president since 1985.  She is nationally recognized for her knowledge and experience of furniture trends.

Vicky succeeds Dale Steinback, who, after 20+ years as President of Rothman, will now become the corporation’s CEO.

Also announced is the promotion of Jay Steinback to succeed Ms. Smith as Executive Vice President. In his current position as Chief Information Officer, Jay has been responsible for completely overhauling and updating Rothman’s technological capabilities over the past decade.
