Top La-Z-Boy Representatives Inducted into Summit Club

La-Z-Boy, one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of upholstered furniture, announced that it honored its top sales representatives with membership into the company’s Summit Club at an awards ceremony during the International Home Furnishings Market in October.  

Cheryl Solomon and Richard Cali, a sales partnership in upstate New York, both were presented with the Patrick H. Norton Award for Sales Excellence for 2009, a prestigious honor named after Norton, former chairman of the board, to recognize their achievement.  Solomon has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy since 1997.  She is a two-time Summit Club inductee, and this is her first time being named an overall award winner.  Cali has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy since 2000 and is a first-time award winner.  

“Inductees into the Summit Club represent the best sales talent in the industry, and all demonstrated outstanding performance last year,” said Greg White, senior vice president of sales and merchandising for La-Z-Boy.  “La-Z-Boy has a dedicated team of sales representatives whose commitment to the La-Z-Boy brand, customer satisfaction and our retail partners is a great source of pride within the company.”   

Demonstrating a standout first year with the company, Johnathan Scott, sales representative in Nova Scotia, was named “Rookie of the Year.”  

Additionally, nine sales representatives were inducted into the 2009 Summit Club for outstanding achievement in sales:

  • Paul Daniels, sales representative in Ontario.  Daniels has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy since 1979 and also was a Summit Club winner in 2005.
  • John Wright, sales representative in Ohio.  Wright has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy for five years and is a first-time Summit Club inductee.
  • Tom Harvey, sales representative in Pennsylvania.  Harvey has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy for three years and is a first-time Summit Club inductee.
  • Jim Graham, sales representative in Texas.  Graham has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy for seven years and was named “Rookie of the Year” in 2003.  This is Graham’s third year as a Summit Club winner.
  • Mark Mitzner, sales representative in Texas.  Mitzner has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy since 1987 and has previously accepted seven  Summit Club awards.
  • Rusty Guynes, sales representative in Texas.  Guynes has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy since 2003 and is a first-time inductee.  
  • Bob Vogel, sales representative in Florida.  Vogel has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy since 1994 and has been honored with the award three times before.
  • Buck Dellinger, sales representative in Colorado.  Dellinger has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy since 1977 and has previously accepted 14 Summit Club awards.
  • Halle Carroll, sales representative in Colorado.  Carroll has been a sales representative for La-Z-Boy since 2004 and also was honored with the award in 2006.
