Nickell Moulding Company Joins The Sustainable Furnishngs Council

Nickell Moulding Company announced that it recently become a  new member of the Sustainable Furniture Council (SFC).  The SFC is an independent coalition of furniture industry leaders and visionaries.  "Nickell Mouldings mission through the SFC," said Matthew Kent, Marketing/Sales & Design Director of Nickell Moulding Company, "is to promote sustainable practices within the home /business furnishings industry and raise awareness among manufactures, retailers, designers and consumers. "It is our belief that sustainable practices are those that promote a healthy balance between the environment, local economies and social equity.
 
"Nickell Moulding recognizes the overwhelming scientific consensus that our world is experiencing dangerous global climate change.  In acknowledgement of the tremendous urgency to take action, Nickell moulding and SFC members take immediate steps to minimize carbon emissions, waste stream and air pollutants and manufacture using only sustainable materials and finishes." 
 
Nickell Moulding and the SFC members:

-Work to eliminate unrecyclable content and primary materials from unsustainable sources from any product platform under our control.

-Utilize Life Cycle Assessment as the best method for analyzing the environmental impact of their products and a verifiable chain of custody as the best method for tracking wood flow.

-Support the triple bottom line of People - Planet - Profits and lead the industry in awareness of best practices throughout supply chains.
