Precision Textiles Sells SlumberShield to Division’s Management
Furniture World News Desk on
Precision Textiles, a supplier of coated fabrics, nonwovens and laminations for the bedding, automotive, health care and home furnishings industries, has sold its SlumberShield division to MPL Enterprises, a corporation formed by Mario Longo, a long-time executive in the business. The transaction closed last week. Terms were not released.
“Precision Textiles’ strength has always been our focus on being the most innovative and effective OEM supplier in the industries we serve. SlumberShield was always a little different because it was ultimately a consumer brand. After more than a decade in the business, we came to the conclusion that it was not strategic to Precision and that its management team could better serve its customers as a separate business,” said Precision Textiles CEO Tesser.
SlumberShield produces top-of-bed products including mattress protectors, bed sheets and pillows.
