Bob's Discount Furniture recently announced the grand opening of its first Iowa location in West Des Moines. The new store will bring 25-35 jobs to the region. To celebrate Bob’s entry into the market the company will donate a total of $5,000 to Fairmeadows Elementary School and FreeStore, a local non-profit that supports children and families who have escaped domestic violence situations and those suffering from some other form of trauma.

The new 40,736 square foot Bob’s Discount Furniture is located in the Jordan Creek Town Center at 6805 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines.

In addition to the new store in West Des Moines, Bob’s will also be opening an additional three stores nationwide in January, bringing the total number of stores to 139 across, 22 states. As part of each grand opening celebration the Bob’s Outreach Team will identify a local school and family-based non-profits to partner with, donating over $20,000 across the four stores.

"We are excited to introduce our unique and enjoyable shopping experience to the Iowa market. Our customers will experience a no hassle atmosphere and the opportunity to take advantage of Bob’s discount throughout all four locations " said Nino Biscanin, Store Manager for Bob’s Discount Furniture. “Giving back is a big part of our culture and we are looking forward to partnering with Fairmeadows Elementary School and FreeStore to assist local families in the area.”
