Spring Air Mourns the Loss of Elaine “Laine” Bates McNulty

Elaine “Laine” Bates McNulty, one of the principal owners of Spring Air International, has died. She was 48.
A long-time resident of Wakefield, Massachusetts, McNulty was the daughter of Edward Bates, chairman and chief executive officer of Spring Air, and the late Elaine Bates.
McNulty had been part of the Spring Air organization since 1985 when she started working with her father at the Spring Air factory he opened in 1972.
“Laine’s kind, loving spirit will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the entire Spring Air organization,” said Nick Bates, her cousin and president of Spring Air International. “She left an indelible mark on everyone she met during her all-too-brief life.”
McNulty is survived by her husband Scott McNulty, her son Tyler; her father and his wife, Acileide Bates; cousins Nick Bates, Joe Bates Jr., Michael Bates, Jeannette Knowles, Charlie Bates, Zack Bates, Joanne and Frank Candelora, Billy and Josephine Gleeson, Buddy Gleeson, Tiffany and Ronald Bates, Jr; stepbrother Edson Lopes; stepsister Katherine Evangelista; and brother-in-law Billy McNulty, and his partner Elayna Evans. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and Godchildren.
