Furniture World News Desk on 2/14/2015

As part of Naturepedic’s ongoing sustainability efforts, the company reported that it has joined the EPA Green Power Partnership, pledging to support renewable energy for its operations.

Naturepedic is purchasing Renewable Energy Credits for 100% of its electricity use from respected provider NativeEnergy. Independently certified by leading renewable energy certification program Green-e, NativeEnergy has counted as clients other leading green businesses like Ben & Jerry’s, Stonyfield Farm and Clif Bar.

“Our business is helping people create healthier, safer indoor environments by providing mattresses without toxic chemicals like chemical flame retardants and phthalates,” said Barry Cik, Naturepedic founder and Technical Director. “Every indoor environment, however, is a part of the larger world. In supporting wellbeing, Naturepedic is committed to caring for all environments, inside and out.”
Naturepedic offers mattresses certified non-toxic and organic to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
