Call for Entries: The 20th Edition of Pure Talents Gets Underway

The 20th edition of the Pure Talents Contest, esteemed globally for nurturing emerging designers, is being commemorated with a revamped format. Germany's prominent interior design trade fair invites young creatives worldwide to present groundbreaking ideas and concepts to industry experts. The competition welcomes students and professionals with up to five years' experience across product, interior, and industrial design domains.

Centered on future challenges, the contest offers three themes: "Limited Space City Living," "Circular Society Living," and "Conceptual Living Statement." Its objective is to identify innovative designers whose ideas can address global concerns and influence interior design. The judging panel seeks designs that blend aesthetics with environmental, social, and socio-political considerations.

A significant innovation this year introduces a new category, expanding options to interior design concepts aligned with chosen themes. This reflects the contest's dedication to charting new directions.

Submissions are accepted until October 16, 2023. An accomplished jury of past contest winners turned successful designers will evaluate designs. From these, twelve standout submissions will be shortlisted, comprising nine "Objects" (products) and three "Spaces" (interior design concepts).

Selected nominees gain a platform at imm cologne from January 14 to 18, 2024, to connect with industry experts, companies, and media. The jury will announce one winner per theme on the first day of the trade fair, each receiving a €1,000 prize. The Pure Talents Contest has a history of fostering prototypes that have found their way into renowned manufacturers' collections.
