Universal Furniture And Paula Deen Home Introduce Their Fifth Collaboration

Furniture World News Desk on 3/12/2017

Keeping Room Tables and Chairs from the Bungalow Collection.

For their fifth collaboration, Universal Furniture and Paula Deen Home take us to the simple, comfortable and relaxed world of Bungalow.

This whole home collection, with offerings from the front porch to the back door, features casegoods, upholstery and outdoor furnishings in soft colors and simple shapes. It’s like living in a month of Sundays, reveling in the passage of time and being present in the moment.

“The collection brings together the best of Low Country living,” says Universal Furniture CEO Jeff Scheffer. “It’s comfortable and casual for any day of the week.”

Key styling elements cover bamboo motifs, louvers, turned wooden legs and gently washed finishes. The pieces feel collected over time, not identically matched and formally styled. The 37 case designs reveal portray intentional comfort and hospitality. You’ll find the expected dressers and dining chairs alongside fun designs like the stainless-steel topped Kitchen Island, a glass and metal Curiousities Chest and a two-level, louvered-door Liquor Locker.

Four finishes adorn the wooden case pieces. Shingle, a charcoal gray; Bluff, a wire-brushed gray-tone neutral; Oleander, an off-white, cover the majority of skus with two accent pieces in Lamb’s Ear, a soft greenish-blue.

Cases are simple with soft, rounded corners and drawers framed by simple box-miter moldings with large, wooden knob pulls. Select designs including a dining table and hall chest are two-toned with contrasting Shingle and Oleander finishes.

Outdoor pieces, developed by Sun Villa, include dining and lounge offerings and upholstery by Craftmaster Furniture covers sofas, chairs and ottomans. Both outdoor and upholstery can be found through Paula Deen Home.

Although debuting at pre-market, retailers can also see collection in its entirety during April Furniture Market.
