Palliser Names Cameron Cook-Sellers & Jim Hunt To Top Marketing Positions

Furniture World News Desk on 1/19/2017

Cameron Cook-Sellers has joined as director of marketing, left, and Jim Hunt, right,  has been named VP of Sales and Marketing.

Upholstery manufacturer Palliser Furniture reports it has added two seasoned industry veterans to its team. In addition to the addition of people, the company is boosting its advertising campaigns to promote the Palliser brand among consumers.

Recently, the company invested a significant amount in Canadian television spots to support and promote its annual Palliser sectional sale. The ads ran across Canada with the goal of driving consumers into its retail partners’ stores.

To support the marketing campaign and others like it, Jim Hunt has been named vice president of sales and marketing, while Cameron Cook-Sellers has joined the company as director of marketing.

Prior to taking the new position, Hunt was vice president of sales and marketing for Palliser’s sister company EQ3. In his new role, Hunt reports to Cary Benson, CEO of Palliser. Prior to joining Palliser, Cook-Sellers was marketing and communications manager for Italian leather supplier Natuzzi. She reports to Hunt.

Hunt brings more than 10 years of sales and marketing experience to his new position. In his new position, Hunt will oversee Palliser’s sales and marketing teams to increase sales and implement corporate marketing programs that support brand and category growth. Prior to his sales and marketing position with EQ3, Hunt was vice president of operations for the company where he managed and directed the North American retail operations for the brand. Earlier in his home furnishings career, Hunt owned and operated a five-store EQ3 franchise.

Cook-Sellers is responsible for marketing with an emphasis on digital marketing. She has been in the home furnishings industry for more than 10 years. In addition to her time at Natuzzi, Cook-Sellers was previously marketing manager for Four Hands, a senior account manager with Design Management Co., and marketing coordinator with Carolyn Kinder International.

“Our decision to invest in marketing is not only people resources, but also to make significant investments in marketing campaigns to grow the Palliser name at our retail partners’ stores,” Benson said. “Our recent television buy is only the beginning in what we have planned for this year. Both Jim and Cameron are best in class in home furnishings marketing, and I see a bright future ahead for the company with the initiatives in their hands.”
