Spring Air International signs license agreement with Isbir Bedding of Ankara, Turkey expanding global footprint to nearly 50 countries.
Extending its global footprint to nearly 50 countries, mattress manufacturer Spring Air International has signed a license agreement with Isbir Bedding of Ankara, Turkey, that will expand the brand’s presence in Turkey, Hungary and Bulgaria.

“Our international licensees have had tremendous success with our product portfolio because there is a strong appetite for U.S. brands across the globe. This agreement will lead us into three international markets that will position us for continued growth abroad,” said Nick Bates, president of Spring Air International. “We have already established a strong presence across the European continent and into new areas that are developing stronger consumer markets. Isbir has strong react into these markets and will be a great partner for us in the region.”

Founded in 1968, Isbir Bedding is a leading bedding producer focused on providing high levels of comfort and health benefits to its customers. A division of Isbir Holding, Isbir Bedding’s sister company, Isbir Foam, is one of the oldest and largest manufacturers of polyurethane foams, mattresses and medical foams in Turkey. The company is known for many firsts in its field, including the development of nano technology products and patented polymer springs used for the production of its own pocket coils. In addition, as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic Isbir’s team of engineers developed a Safe Sleep Tunnel, which destroys viruses by using UVC rays on the surface of its mattresses before packing. As a result of this innovation, Isbir Bedding won the “Most Innovative Brand in Turkey” award in 2021 as part of the Retail Sun Awards program developed by Retail Days 2021 at Halic Congress Center in Istanbul. Retail Days is a global platform and one of the most distinguished organizations of the retail industry in the international arena since 2001.

“Our company is committed to improving individuals’ sleep health, and that makes Spring Air an excellent partner for us because its brand DNA aligns with ours,” said Metin Gültepe, CEO of Isbir Holding. “We are well known as mattress experts in Turkey and Europe and have ambitious plans to grow the brand rapidly in these regions. Together with Spring Air we anticipate reaching new markets by taking advantage of Spring Air’s reputation and image as an American producer of high-quality bedding.”

Along with forming the relationship with Isbir, Spring Air is also expanding its alliance with Cairo-based mattress manufacturer Bed Janssen to include Greece among the countries in which Bed Janssen distributes Spring Air’s brands. Bed Janssen also markets Spring Air products to retailers in Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Egypt and Morocco. Overall, Spring Air has been a presence in the international market for 20 years.
