J&J Furniture to close after 51 years in Mobile

Ed Jones.VP/General Manager of J&J Furniture recently announced that the family owned 4 stores and 100,000 square foot distribution center are closing for good. J&J employs 70 people.

The business was founded by the Jones Family in 1967, growing to 4 retail locations totaling over 125,000 square feet, with over 50 name brands, at Tillmans Corner, Saraland, Springhill, and Daphne,

Mr. Jones said "It's been a great experience serving the people of the Gulf Coast for decades. We will miss fulfilling the home furnishings needs of our many loyal customers, but it's time to retire and spend more time with family."

The inventory is now being sold to the public in the "Great $6 Million Retirement Closing Sale". The Lynch Sales Company of Chattanooga is working with the Jones Family in the transition.
