New Additions to Rascal Scooter Line to be Introduced at Fall High Point Market

New "Rascal Elite” line will offer consumers greater travel range, longer battery life, and increased comfort.

Mega Motion LLC and its Windermere Motion line, a subsidiary of Pride Mobility Products Corporation, recently announced that it is expanding its Rascal® Mobility scooter line with the introduction of the new “Rascal Elite” line at the October High Point Furniture Market in Furniture Plaza Showroom 100.

“These new products, under the Rascal banner, offer our retailers an easy way to expand into the fast-growing category of mobility products,” said Joe Showfety, Sales Manager for Mega Motion. “No part of the furniture industry is growing as fast as the power recline and lift chair business, and mobility products are the next growth opportunity for retailers.”

“Improving the quality of one’s life is a major goal of Mega and Windermere Motion,” stated Dwight Hardison, Director of Operations for Mega Motion. “We have worked with the Pride engineering and design teams to develop four great new mobility scooters: the Elite 3, Elite 4, Elite 10-3 and Elite 10-4. This new line of scooters will offer consumers greater travel range, longer battery life, and increased comfort.

“Our retail and e-commerce partners have continued to ask us for products they can purchase to complement the power recline and lift chairs. The Rascal line fills that need and will allow our dealer base to capture an even greater share of the consumer mobility market,” added Hardison.

According to the company, the new “Rascal Elite” line will supplement the existing line of scooters, including the Rascal Foldable and the Rascal Freedom chair.

Mega/Windermere Motion will continue to use its four warehouse locations around the country to ship same day or next day products to the retail customers. “Our performance record is above 99%,” commented Showfety. In addition, the company’s free freight program is now expanded to allow the dealer to add the Rascal® products.

At High Point Market, the company will also display the Rascal® Foldable. As the name implies, it is a mobility scooter that can be folded and easily transported. Weighing less than 65 lbs., the Rascal® Foldable is a well-designed and very sturdy portable scooter.
