With more than 50 new pieces on display, Caracole recently announced that they will introduce “Modern Uptown”, at High Point Market. Modern Uptown reinterprets loft style for the next generation of global living spaces. Offering superior multi-functionality, this collection is scaled for today’s dwellings with a focus on versatility, comfort, authenticity and upscale style.

Pieces with curvaceous detailing step away from all stuffiness by dressing down in a dark flakey oak with a contemporized dry sheen, trapezoidal metal legs and contrasting metallic accents to be fashionable and in vogue. A splendid example is the deeply scalloped buffet that makes an impressive statement. Its circular front is accentuated by metal detailing that runs down the ribs of each scallop for striking effect. Shaped out of Heathered Oak, generous adjustable storage hides behind the curved doors of this impressive piece.

Other profiles in Modern Uptown take on a cosmopolitan flair through the use of smooth Primavera wood with a high Smoked Peppercorn sheen that is adorned with metallic Jazzy Taupe accents. These pieces have a dark, sleek presence and a highly tailored style that is merged with metal, accent glass, custom hardware, textured fabrics, smart stitching and leather trimmings.

Materials mix easily on many of the pieces. For instance, a long slab of Silver Travertine graces the top of the rectangular cocktail table.
