ISPA Members Converge at Interzum Cologne

More than 75 members of the International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) joined 1,300 furniture manufacturers and component suppliers from 63 countries to exhibit at interzum, the world’s largest home furnishings trade fair in Cologne, Germany, April 29 – May 3, 2005. ISPA hosted its Bedding Centre, where 10 members took the opportunity to showcase their latest products and services to the thousands of international buyers at interzum. “ISPA is pleased to provide a forum for our members to strengthen their businesses here in the United States and abroad,” noted ISPA President Dick Doyle. “Our Bedding Centre provided an ideal ‘home-away-from-home’ for the scores of ISPA members who converged at interzum.” Interzum proved to be a good place for members to conduct business. As ITG/Burlington House’s Dennis St. Louis pointed out, “Being part of the ISPA Bedding Centre provided access to a steady flow of domestic and international mattress manufacturers. This is very helpful as we continue to expand our global business initiatives.” Galkin Automated Products President Paul Block observed, “The show was a wonderful forum to meet with both domestic and international customers and spend quality time with them. We were enthusiastic about their response and interest.” Pat Flippin of Kingsdown noted “ISPA’s Bedding Centre provided a great opportunity for ISPA members to gather in an area dedicated exclusively to the mattress industry. Interzum gave us key opportunities to enhance our individual businesses. The ISPA Bedding Centre provided a boost internationally on the importance of mattresses and our industry as a whole.” Participation at the biennial interzum Cologne is one convenient forum ISPA provides for its members to engage their customers and suppliers. Another is the ISPA EXPO, scheduled every even year, takes place on March 1-4, 2006, in San Antonio, Texas. The EXPO is the world’s largest trade show dedicated solely to the mattress industry.
