Jimyko, a new home furnishing retail store located in San Jose, is opening it’s doors in March 2005. Jimyko will offer a fresh and stylish approach to the contemporary home furnishing needs of South Bay residents. Conveniently located on Monterey Road—ten minutes from downtown San Jose—Jimyko will bring chic and fresh style to the area known as “Furniture Row.” “San Jose is the largest city in Northern California and is growing exponentially—yet surprisingly—there is no destination for contemporary home furniture at affordable prices. Jimyko will fulfill this need for high-quality, contemporary furniture for the South Bay and we know they’ll like what they see,” says Jimyko principal and founder, James Hui. Jimyko offers furniture and design ideas that will let customers express their individual style— with a budget that fits most people’s wallets. The Jimyko lines offer sturdy, natural-wood dining tables from the Pacific Rim, plush sofas that combine comfort with Italian-inspired design, and an array of elegant beds. “We think clients will be pleasantly surprised, not only by the reasonable prices, but with the unique pieces. One favorite is a dining table that doubles as a game table—perfect for a poker or Mahjong tournament,” says Hui. Customers will also find beautiful accessories for the home, including lamps, rugs, bedding, vases and local art work. The expansive 10,000 square-foot studio, located in the developing Monterey Center, embraces the architectural integrity of the warehouse space, but introduces a warm, sophisticated studio atmosphere with showrooms that exhibit the beautiful and comfortable bedroom, living room, and dining room collections. About Jimyko: Jimyko, is a new home furnishings studio, owned and operated by a local Bay Area family. Jimyko provides fresh and unique home furnishings that attune to today’s casual and contemporary lifestyles. Condo-dwellers, first-time home owners, and empty-nesters can explore the grand 10,000 square-foot retail studio and experience the elements that define every home.
