A GOOD LEADER....

  1. understands if goals are too aggressive, employees will not attempt to reach them.

  2. further understands that if goals are too modest, employees will not be challenged.

  3. periodically measures goals and shares levels of achievement with associates.

  4. shares rewards on a quarterly basis and understands if the time to share results and rewards are too far removed, they will be forgotten.

  5. tells associates why the goals that have been set are reasonable and achievable.
