Ameriwood Home, a division of Dorel Industries Inc. recently announced that it has joined in on the Mid-Century Modern craze with two new bedroom collections launching this Month.

Mid-Century style has proven popular in everything from fabrics to furniture, first starting in high-end furniture design. Classic characteristics of this style are easily spotted with walnut finishes, tapered legs, and simple lines. The style rose to fame during the hit TV show, Mad Men, based around the 1960s era. The show ended in 2015 but the Mid-Century look has continued and gained momentum with an updated modern twist as seen at recent trade shows like NEOCON and High Point Furniture Market.

Ameriwood Home is introducing both the Vaughn and Atlas collections, categorized as Mid-Century Modern, appealing to very different tastes expanding to a larger customer base. The Vaughn collection has classic angled tapered legs with ornamental shutter style doors and drawers and a two tone finish of walnut or a gray oak with black accents. While the Atlas collection shows off its flat front design and asymmetrical grooved drawer fronts in solid walnut leaning towards a modern aesthetic.

“Our new Mid-Century Modern collections allow customers to have the high end look of vintage pieces but are budget friendly. We are offering pieces in bedroom and living room with the Vaughn so the customer can style high traffic areas in their home with the Mid-century look. Our RTA (Ready to Assemble) furniture not only hits the right price point but also gives our customers the convenience of shipping directly to their house to offer an easy solution to a busy lifestyle.” – Ray Toal, Ameriwood Home VP of Ecommerce.

The Atlas collection offers a complete bedroom set with 4 and 6 Drawer Dressers, Armoire, Nightstand and Queen Headboard in walnut finish. These items are priced affordably from $69.99 Nightstand to the $279.99 Armoire for an instant bedroom makeover.

The Vaughn collection ranges from $119.99 for the Nightstand to $339.99 for the 6 Drawer Dresser, keeping it in mid- price range for a more glamorous makeover. The rest of the bedroom collection consists of a 5 Drawer Dresser and Full/Queen Size Headboard and can be purchased in a classic walnut or gray oak finish.  The Vaughn also has a living room collection to keep the Mid-Century feel throughout your home with the Wine Cabinet, Accent Table, Coffee Table, TV Stand, and Fireplace TV Stand, also in the walnut and gray oak finishes.

The Vaughn and Atlas collections will be available by mid-February for purchase through large online retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Target, Overstock and Wayfair.
