Furniture World News Desk on 4/14/2012

A GOOD LEADER....

  1. understands that when achievers are promoted to a higher position of authority, some associates reflect resentment.

  2. knows former associates that were on an equal level may wish to be treated with special consideration.

  3. is aware that associates that remain “social buddies” may take “license” at work with your relationship.

  4. recognizes need to train and motivate subordinates to elevate them to the leader’s level of achievement.

  5. knows on simple operations, consistent training often results in productivity that is equal for all associates.

  6. realizes that on complex tasks, training often increases the skills and productivity of associates with greater aptitude, but not those with lesser ability.
