Sleep Research Technologies Issues AURIA Retailer Challenge at Las Vegas Market

Furniture World News Desk on 7/22/2019

Sleep Research Technologies, marketers of the AURIA “Climate Controlled Sleep Systems” reported that it has issued a challenge and an invitation to mattress, bedding and sleep retailers attending the Summer 2019 Las Vegas Market.

“We challenge any mattress or sleep retailer who is selling sleep cooling solutions to consumers to scientifically prove that their system is more effective and provides better lasting, all night sleep cooling over the AURIA Climate Controlled Sleep System.,” states Virgil Venditto, Director of Engineering. ”We have examined every technology or solution from ‘cool gel infusion’ to the blowing of ambient air through the mattress or between the sheets, circulating water on the top of the mattress and even technically driven phase change materials, and they simply do not create the sleeping environment that sleep doctors, sleep scientists and the National Sleep Foundation have been recommending for years…namely a cool 60 to 67 degrees Fahrenheit. The key challenge that separates us from all other sleep cooling technology is the achieving by the sleeper of a condition known as “Thermo-Neutrality,” says Venditto.

Cooling the body externally can make a sleeper feel more comfortable and help fall asleep; however, sleep scientists now understand that by breathing in air that is 35 degrees lower than the body temperature, sleepers can achieve this condition known as “Thermo-Neutrality”. Thermo-Neutrality  is actually a state of thermal balance between a body and its environment so that the sleeper’s thermo-regulatory mechanisms are inactive according to Venditto. Tests show that women sleep up to 71% and men sleep 62% deeper reaching REM sleep faster and remaining thermally balanced throughout the entire sleep cycle.

“We are to so confident in the tested performance of the AURIA “Climate Controlled  Sleep Systems”  that we are willing to put out this challenge to any retailer who attends the Las Vegas market. We will put our money where our mouth is,” says  Venditto.  “If the retailer can technically substantiate, scientifically prove that their present cooling solutions are superior to our technology in reaching for-real cooling—namely Thermo-Neutrality” we will install FOR FREE a system in their primary retail store location. This is a $4500 value for that retailer.”

The AURIA Retailer Challenge

There are three steps to this showroom floor challenge:

The retailer is invited to visit the Sleep Research Technologies showplace at the SSA Show space C-1565, to experience AURIA for yourself and lay down on our demonstration model and watch our short “Air Flow Visualization” video of the AURIA system, demonstrating the flow and concentration of the cool, filtered air as it cascades from the headboard.

Sleep Research Technologies will provide the retailer with a “Cool Sleeping Products Comparison” sheet featuring the major technologies and brands of cooling systems.

Retailers must be willing to participate in a comparison discussion and be prepared to discuss issues such as the type of cooling technology they market, body cooling efficiency  and temperature ranges, etc.

If the retailer is not able to demonstrate that they currently market a superior cooling solution to AURIA, they will discuss placing a demonstration unit of the AURIA system in their prime retail location at the usual installation and set-up price for a minimum of six months. If however the mattress / sleep retailer is able to provide tested confirmation that their system provides equal or better efficiency and performance, Sleep Research Technologies will offer them a FREE set up of the AURIA in their primary retail location for a minimum of 6 months.

According to Mr. Venditto, the AURIA has been designed and engineered to deliver the perfect sleeping environment through the implementation of advanced physics and state of the art technologies. Taking Advantage of “Convection Currents” and a process known as “Inversion” the AURIA creates a true “Micro-Climate” around the entire perimeter of the system. At the heart of the AURIA cooling system is the company’s new, robust SRT-9000 climate (patent pending) control module, allowing the sleeper to sleep at the doctor-recommended temperature between 60 and 67 degrees F.

The thermostatic control allows for a cooler or warmer sleeping environment depending on the individual’s requirements. The processed air gently cascades an invisible cocoon of cool, crisp, dry, filtered air for the healthiest and deepest sleep possible.
