aspenhome announced that it will be moving to a new 323,000 sq. ft. distribution center and corporate office on January 19th. The facility in Phoenix is designed to improve their service to customers by offering quicker order fulfillment with higher accuracy, improved stock-in rates and quality control. “As the market and industry retrenches during this time, aspenhome is investing in the future so that we can provide the world-class service, availability and delivery that our customers need," stated Bill Colegrove, aspenhome CEO. aspenhome’s new distribution center will more than double their inventory capacity to make it easier to fulfill their brand promise to retailers to get their orders “Delivered as Expected.” Some of the advancements the new facility will provide are an increase of inbound and outbound truck bays from 8 to 40 and a warehouse management system upgraded to the latest radio frequency handheld devices. The expanded capacity and a new warehouse management system will improve overall efficiency and order processing. aspenhome’s expanded warehouse capacity will also enable them to maintain 95% stock-in levels so their customers can order the product they want and get it when they want it via aspenhome’s nationwide ASAP 10-day Land Delivery program. Their new state-of-the-art inventory management technology will result in quicker and more accurate order fulfillment for the retailer while improved inventory housing will reduce product damage and improve quality control of product handling. Construction and inventory management is underway now for a seamless transition that will operate out of the new distribution center as of January 19, 2009. The new main distribution center is located at 601 N. 75th Ave in Phoenix.
