Kincaid Furniture announced that it has launched an extensive new web site offering users a fresh new look, additional product details, and added benefits providing easier navigation and interaction within the site. The launch of the comprehensive site, www.kincaidfurniture.com, took place September 1. Greensboro-based Atlantic Webworks was chosen as the design firm responsible for design and development of the site. Study of consumer usage of the previous site and research into what consumers want from a web experience greatly influenced the site creation. Under construction for six months, the web site has been designed to serve as a technological platform on which Kincaid can evolve and grow in the future. This new design will also become the foundation for another exciting retail-based tool the company plans to launch on retail floors later this year. Updates include providing more information to the consumer on the history of the company, how the products are made, and how to care for the furniture. Not only can consumers find dealers on the locator, but now they can also identify the Kincaid products each dealer carries, and whether that dealer is considered a Home Furnishings Store, an Authorized Gallery, or an Authorized Dealer. Consumers are also invited to join a mailing list to receive information that is specific to their individual needs, and will have the ability to email any item from the product catalog with its information to any email address without interrupting their shopping experience to do so.
