Erol Lebowitz Named VP Merchandising For Mattress Giant

Mattress Giant Corporation announced that Errol Lebowitz has been promoted to vice president of merchandising. Lebowitz joined Mattress Giant after their 2007 acquisition of Mattress Expo. An industry veteran, having held key positions in buying and merchandising capacities at leading retailers, Lebowitz will serve as the primary contact with bedding manufacturers. Steve Kyger will continue as director of merchandising and will report to Lebowitz. “Errol is uniquely qualified for this position based on his vast knowledge and experience in the retail bedding industry as a buyer and as a retailer”, said Barrie Brown, chief executive officer, Mattress Giant. ”This unique combination will be especially important for us as we continue our strategy for rapid growth.” Together with David Shapiro, Lebowitz co-founded Atlanta-based bedding retailer, Mattress Expo in 2000.
