Big Lots, Inc. Names Senior Vice President of Store Operations

Big Lots a broadline closeout retailer, announced the appointment of Christopher T. Chapin as Senior Vice President of Store Operations, effective immediately. Mr. Chapin will report to CEO Steve Fishman. Chapin will oversee store standards, field operations, customer service, process development, and program implementation for the company's 1,300+ closeout retail stores in 47 states. Chapin has more than two decades of senior retail operations experience with leading companies, including Frito-Lay, PepsiCo, YUM Brands, Priceline.com, Limited Brands, Inc., and FacilitySource. He most recently served as president of FacilitySource, a worldwide retail facility maintenance and management business headquartered in Secaucus, New Jersey. Previously, Chapin was with Limited Brands as Vice President/Store Operations and YUM Brands as National Director of Operations, where he oversaw the expansion of Taco Bell's multibrand concept (Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell). He holds a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
