The Vietnam International Furniture and Home Accessories Fair 2008 opened at the Phu Tho Indoor Sport Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on March 14. Over 550 booths of 150 local and foreign companies from 44 countries and territories displayed their indoor and outdoor furniture, wood fine art articles, china, and machinery and equipment for wood manufacturing and processing. Workshops on the woodwork industry, a competition on designing wood fine art goods and field trips to wood processing plants in Vietnam were held during the four-day fair.
