Broyhill Honors Six With Sales Reps Of The Year Award
Furniture World Magazine
As part of the Broyhill Home Furnishings initiative to return to dominance in every product category the company sells, the company honored the legendary contributions of sales representatives with a time-honored tradition of receiving blazers with the gold Broyhill pinwheel crest.
The tradition, created in the 70s by Paul Broyhill in recognition of extraordinary performance, has been revived and retroactively recognizes those who were named Salesperson of the Year during the previous seven years.
“We revere the heritage of Paul Broyhill who led this company with passion and innovation, while showing respect and love for the people who worked side by side with him,” says Jeff Cook, president of Broyhill. “Bringing back this tradition is as important to our sales team today as it was in the past and will be for future legendary sales teammates.”
Receiving custom-fitted award blazers were:
- Dennis Maxey (2000)
- Ralph Beightol (2001)
- Ray Simonetti (2004; previous winner in 1993)
- Jim Moore (2005)
- Gary Baker (2006)
- Jim Scott (2006)
“These sales reps are truly the lifeblood of our organization,” Cook says. “Their commitment to greatness and their extraordinary ability to develop true customer loyalty is a critical element for how Broyhill will return to dominance in every category we sell.”
Also given were the five-year service awards to members of the sales team. The service award recipients were Paul Christensen, Jim Costello, Don Deeds, John Dragoo, Doug Dukelow, John Findlay, Dan Houbre, Wes King, Ed Myers, Jon Porter and David Snooks.
“We realize the incredible amount of time, energy and commitment it takes to develop strong, lasting customer relationships,” says Randy Lavercombe, Broyhill vice president of sales. “That’s why our service award is so important to us. It recognizes the commitment and the passion of our sales reps to our customers, and it acknowledges the critical role they play in inspiring millions of families who use our products to turn their houses into homes. Because of their efforts, we at Broyhill are getting closer to our goal of industry dominance every day.”
