To better serve its customers, Magnussen Home Furnishings, Inc. has restructured its sales management team with a series of internal promotions and newly created positions.
Christa Albrecht, previously vice president of sales for Canada and national accounts, has been named vice president of sales for Eastern North America. Don Webb, formerly sales manager for the Western United States, has been appointed to vice president of sales for Western North America. Kelly Magnussen, formerly sales manager for the Eastern United States, has been named vice president of sales for national accounts.
“We are reorganizing our sales territories in order to better focus on specific retailer needs and to enable our sales management team to spend more time consulting with our accounts,” says Don Essenberg, Magnussen Home executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “We will be able to more effectively partner with retailers to meet consumer needs, and take a proactive approach to growing our businesses together.”
“Christa’s past success has earned her the opportunity to be engaged with a larger portion of our total business,” Essenberg says. “Don joined us less than two years ago, and has been a welcome addition to the Magnussen Home team, and will provide Don the opportunity to interact in even more marketplaces.”
“Kelly has done a phenomenal job at growing the business with our largest accounts,” he says. “His new position will allow him to focus even more intently on the needs and requirements of our national accounts.”
The restructuring is part of an overall consolidation of Magnussen Home’s management team. Under the leadership of Richard Magnussen, chief executive officer and president, and Essenberg, the company’s sales, merchandising and marketing will become fully integrated.
“The combined expertise and professionalism of Christa, Don and Kelly will produce excellent results for Magnussen Home, as well as our retail partners,” Essenberg says.
