Lorna Dewey Furniture Changes Name
Furniture World News
Lorna Dewey of London, Hildenborough Kent, UK, announced the re-branding of the company formerly known as Lorna Dewey Furniture.
The company will continue to distribute its well-known line of antique reproduction furniture as well as expanding the line to include art deco, lighting and limited edition pieces.
The company has relocated its showroom in High Point to 200 Hamilton, Suite 331. Terry Facey, owner, spoke about the change. “We created the company to distribute our line of fine bench-made antique reproductions. After acquiring Lorna Dewey Furniture from the retiring founders last year, we needed to invest in the structure of the business for the US market and have done so, resulting in improved sales materials and a new catalog.”
“There is so much more to the furniture industry in England today,” said Alan Barrows, US manager. He continued, “Terry and I met with some of the best British furniture designers and have put together a range of furniture that greatly expands our product offering to the American market. The British carriage trade that we sold to in the past inspired us to rename the company Lorna Dewey of London. It is that association of the brand that enables customers to trust Lorna Dewey of London to offer the finest furniture designs of 18th century London at its most gracious.”
Terry added, “In addition to the expanded line of antique reproductions, we have added Art Deco and lighting to the line. This, along with a new catalog and sales materials will give our customers the tools necessary to increase sales and profit by offering a well-known and respected line of furnishings that is still handcrafted in Great Britain.”
