Jeff Cook Named President Of Broyhill Furniture

W.G. (Mickey) Holliman, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Furniture Brands International, Inc. announced the appointment of Jeffrey L. Cook as President of Broyhill Furniture Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of the company. Mr. Cook has served since 1998 as President and Chief Executive Officer of Magnussen Home Furnishings, Inc. Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Cook served in positions of increasing responsibility at the Sumpter Cabinet Company, Lea Industries, Case/Cassard Furniture, Rowe Furniture Corporation and other furniture manufacturers and distributors. Mr. Cook’s educational background includes a degree from Lenoir Rhyne College in 1977. Mr. Holliman commented, “I am pleased that Jeff has agreed to join our company as a key member of our leadership team. Jeff has a proven track record of success in our industry and I expect Broyhill will benefit greatly from his leadership.” Mr. Cook commented, “I am delighted to be joining Broyhill at this critical time in its history.
