Leggett & Platt Introduces Folding Box Spring

Leggett & Platt announced that they have developed an upholstered, folding box spring that has the following features: -takes one third the space to inventory and warehouse – designed to allow bedding manufacturers and retailers to make better use of costly warehouse space -doubles the load that fits into one distribution truck, reducing handling and shipping expense -sized and pre-boxed to ship air freight/UPS to accommodate electronic retail customers -speeds home delivery and set up with carry-in ease The interior of the box spring is comprised of a patented wire grid design stapled to wood slats that, when fully extended, provides as much support and is as sturdy a foundation as a conventionally built box spring. The cover is a high end stretch knit stretchable ticking that conforms to the box spring shape, and will coordinate well with most any mattress ticking.
