MicroD announced the release of ePreVue-5 (eP-5), the online furniture visualization service for the Internet. This new version of ePreVue, the furniture industry’s standard for on-line furniture display and presentation, offers a host of new and powerful features. eP-5, written in Microsoft .Net technology, boasts significantly faster rendering speeds and presents more fabric choices on the same page. It also enables the user to see fabric details by simply hovering the cursor over the image stamp. In addition, new draping functionality allows users to click on a specific area of a frame to render just that individual item. Visually, eP-5 enables users to customize the look and feel of the displayed page. As a result, eP-5 can be easily modified to blend seamlessly within furniture retailers’ and manufacturers’ existing websites. Retailers can also customize eP-5 to display only the products they sell. Ken Curtis, VP of Sales and Marketing for MicroD, states: “The intensive 13-month effort to develop eP-5 dramatically raises the bar for on-line rendering tools. It makes eP-5 the fastest and the most versatile rendering application on the Internet for the furniture Industry.” Jim Gabbert of Gabberts Furniture in Minnesota, a long time user of ePreVue, reports excellent traffic and tangible results in converting Internet shoppers to in-store buyers because of ePreVue: "We can see definitive results when consumers can view products on the web,” Gabbert says. “After doing their research and exploring ideas through ePreVue, they come to the store prepared to purchase.” Another big plus is ePreVue viewership reports that identify the products his consumers are most interested in. Gabbert uses that data to plan his in-store product presentation. “All in all” he concludes, "the enhanced capabilities of eP-5 will be a tremendous advantage for our business.” MicroD, Inc. develops and provides a suite of integrated Internet and desktop-based software products and service solutions known as Full Circle.
